Burlesque Horror Stories

Trying to get changed into a burlesque costume in a tent is difficult. Trying to put on a wig and make sure it is situated correctly in a tent -with only a compact mirror- is even more difficult. But, with all that aside, I was excited to be able to get on stage and share my act with a brand new audience. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Growing the Asheville Burlesque Community

It has been almost a year since Deb au Nare's Burlesque Academy of Asheville officially started taking students! As our long time performers left the city for greener pastures, I wanted a way to help grow our dwindling burlesque scene in Asheville. I started off with just the Burlesque 101 series taught by myself as a way to help people who maybe heard of burlesque but weren't sure how to get their foot in the door. Now it has turned into multiple series' of classes, teachers and shows.
